“True enough, both the telephone and the Internet are systems that facilitate communication over distances, but why start at 1876 and the invention of the telephone as the primeval beginning of the Internet? By using their stretched standards, smoke signals, messengers and people simply shouting from afar at each other could equally be the origins of the Internet.”
