Guthrie’s new hustle trades pencils for other kids’ cards the teacher gave them for performing well. The cards enter kids in the teacher’s drawing for prizes. His business turns them into an alternate currency. Oh, and he also runs a little lottery pretty that’s much like a numbers racket.
